For me it does works (latest VLC, tvOS 14, Apple TV 4K) but I use Cached Media (local media on Apple TV 4K 64 GB storage). You just need to drag and drop / send the .srt file on the Wireless File sender too, make sure it's the same name. Although, on the list, they don't sort alphabetically side by ...

I don't get why this is how it's functioning on the Android app, when on desktop app, it just plays and lets you drag any subtitles anytime, anything. Yea me too. Keeps reading metadata, both on internal and SD, after it finished, won't show any videos instead.

Take them down. Also their player are even used for piracy anyways, take them down before the blame gets passed into us by DMCA or some copyrights groups there
