Just tested the file with Media Player Classic, subtitles display fine and use the embedded fonts.

I tried re-encoding the file with Mkvtoolnix without the custom fonts, after which VLC displays the text just fine, but the audio goes off sync by about 1 second per 10 minutes movie.
