I only came here looking for a solution to this issue. Choppy Sound on MPEG VCD Files [Observed on VLC Player Only]

I have no luck to find out what causes the choppy sound happening on all of my VCD files. Very annoying and this happens *ONLY* on VLC. I had tried Totem, SMPlayer, Xine, Avidemux, PowerDVD, etc and they do not have problem with this kind of choppy sound there. The VLCs I had tried were version 2.2....
