I followed these instructions but it failed using the VLC Trunk from the automatic updates. I have now got it to compile using the tar balls for VLC and Contrib. Use the configure script described with the --enable-dca mod. When I installed cygwin I used the default unix file end option. After faili...

Sorted! - The listener has to have the same mac address as well as IP address otherwise the packets are dropped.

Have you tried using Ethereal. You should be able to see an UDP packets with that. http://www.ethereal.com
I'm trying to do something similar but what to watch the video stream, any idea's on a purely listen unicast client?
