VLC Player records audio only no video

Hey Ive been trying to record a clip from a DVD but when I play back the output file (which is exported as a mpeg) there is audio only with no video. I have Windows 10 and I am running VLC player 3.01

I have the exact opposite problem in that I have audio but no video...
