I am sorry but I am not all that tech literate regarding VLC. The odd thing today is that while viewing a commercial DVD, the sound drops out at the exact same place every time, while it plays perfectly with Windows DVD player

The desktop in question has Windows 10 and a fresh reinstall of VLC and now a DVD that I had burned a while ago no longer plays properly. The audio stops and the video will stall.
