Yes, I have definitely learned from this mistake. But for now, I'm making any kind of attempt to recover what's lost.

I stored the videos on an SD card, I don't know much more about it. I cannot copy the files at all to another file or program

I've been looking everywhere for assistance on this one and I can't seem to find my specific situation. I have a ton of family videos for two years including a baby birth, first everythings, really important stuff... I've emptied the SD card everything was saved on quite a bit ago and I skimmed them...
