Tried with the 3.0.2 Daily Build(vlc-3.0.2-20180324-0551-win64) and the issue still occurs.

I am having a problem with VLC 3.0.1 not playing back some videos. The previous version of VLC played them fine and so does Windows Media Player. I am running on Windows 10. Is this a known issue?
