Please disable hardware decoding in preferences.
I noticed the same problem after upgrading to v3.0.3. Thank you. That fixed it for me on my circa-2009 Lenovo laptop.

I tried this on a 2012 laptop running W7 Pro x64 and VLC 3.0.0 64bit but this did not work for me. Edit: A third disc actually did play, does this mean we need a more updated keydb.cfg file?
