Which error do you get?
Are you sure those dvds are for the right region? Sometimes that's the problem.

Can't you close the full screen with the key combination?

I think 90% of the problems I've seen with VLC command line would be solved if there was a "dry run" option that just echoed back the actual arguments as VLC understands them, without doing anything. That is a great idea and would help indeed. Maybe that could be a possible implementation...

I don't think VLC is being pushed to all users. I use it because I prefer it over other players.

Hello, This is a problem. Skin developers choose whatever fonts (.ttf, .otf, ...) they like best. But, those files don't necessarily have entries for all languages. Maybe you changed your settings so that VLC is the standard program to open files?
