I am having the same problem. I do not understand any of the above. Any chance someone can explain for a non-tecky?

Have used VLC for years with no problems. Nothing has changed on my computer yet every video I drop into VLC will not play.
The little wheel turns and turns but VLC is unresponsive. I have reloaded VLC but no luck. I have no idea why this has happened.
