On my rooted Android 5.0 smartphone, MX Player can delete files from the SD Card, but VLC 2.5.12 can not. It's bug?

Yes. You cannot, because Google decided apps should not be allowed to delete files, without a very complex system. Use your file explorer.

For example, MX Player deletes files from SD Card without any problems. Why do not add a delete capability to VLC?

Music doesn't starts automaticaly when bluetooth headphones are connected. "Resume on headset insertion" is checked.

VLC 2.5.12
