Hope this proves useful to whomever finds this thread. Hijacking an old thread here, but the issue is the same.

I only have one instance of VLC in my /Applications folder (nothing in ~/Applications). I've tried the Terminal command mentioned in the above link, but still have the issue...



Any ideas?
