yes, it's freeze and then just can stop it by killing program.

just wanna open http stream into 2 nearest pc's.
Windows xp, last version of vlc - everything playing good.
Windows 7, same last version, but player freeze forever, and program can't stop only by killing process.

btw, kmplayer works also such way.
