So it seems VLC has an issue with E-AC3 audio files. These files will gain popularity as Amazon / HBO are using this codec in their newer shows. The is one with dragons and dying kings I think... Telling us users "VLC is not going to reencode to AC-3 an E-AC3 stream" is not really helpful....
