Still looking for a solution to this problem-- First off, I meant 2.2.3 and 2.2.6 above, that was a mistake on my part. I've tried deleting VLC entirely, I've tried running First Aid on my computer, and I've also uninstalled Flash, in case there were conflicting files. I'm wondering if perhaps there...

For some reason, VLC is no longer showing my my .srt subtitles. The program registers that there is an .srt file and I can see it under the subtitles menu and turn on the track, but no subtitles actually appear on the screen.
