Hi all, I ran into this same problem running an 8 core AMD system with 16GB memory and a GTX970 vid card. Every other program seemed to be ok with playing my DJI Mavic's 4k MP4 files but I really wanted VLC for taking snapshots from the flight footage, and the lag was so bad it was hardly even updat...
