Re: VLC Player - Play .WAV audio loops without gaps

Gapless audio playback is still not available yet in version 3.x, it might be available in version 4. Discussions: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=144695 https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=154015 OK sounds good, thank you for sharing that info. It seems reasonable...

VLC Player - Play .WAV audio loops without gaps

Here's a 20 second video demonstrating the issue: https://streamable.com/qt4vba • .wav audio file is a perfect sine wave that loops seamlessly every 3 seconds. • It plays a constant loop without gaps in software such as sound forge. • When playing in VLC player on loop, the audio will have a a gap e...

Can you take a screenshot with timestamp of the video ?

Currently a VLC screenshot will look like: vlcsnap-2021-10-13-22h00m00s000 I'm looking for something like this: vlcsnap-2021-10-13--22h00m00s000- time-12:34 <- time in the actual video I know you could just watch something windowed, and hit the windows print screen and it would show the time stamp i...

Ok thanks

So does that mean there is no way for users to customize their increments?

Possible to make faster playback points as 1.25x / 1.5x / 1.75x / 2x ?

Basically looking to make them the same as YouTube speeds (0.25x jumps) like this: 0.25x / 0.5x / 0.75x / 1x / 1.25x / 1.5x / 1.75x / 2x Currently, jumps are: 0.12x / 0.25x / 0.33x / 0.67x / 1.0x / 1.5x / 2.0x / 3.0x /4.0x /8.0x / etc.. and slower jumps are jumps by 0.10x Would love to make all jump...

Re: How come VLC lags at playing .ts file types?

Hi, you can try to enable fast seek, but it is less precise. Hi, Thank you, I enabled Fast Seek. Problem still remains. If I do a 30 second jump forward or backwards it takes anywhere from 5-10 seconds for the video to un-freeze and sync up again. Audio is heard correctly during seeking. Is this th...

How come VLC lags at playing .ts file types?

These .ts video files are typically downloaded from web video players.

VLC still plays them, but if you try to seek, the video will pause and take several seconds to catch-up and start playing again.

1) Why is that?

2) Is there a fix?

Thank you

Re: Unable to play iPhone recorded 4k MOV files

Ok after using 3.0 for a few days it has more problems than it's worth unfortunately.

Guess I'll have to continue to look for a different solution or an official VLC update.

Thanks for your help!

Change color of blue full screen volume bar and seek bar? (3.0.0 nightly)

Running the latest 3.0.0 nightly build (Jan 10 2018)

1) The full screen volume bar and seek bar color is blue, can we change this to white?

2) Also, OSD font is default despite choosing a different font.

Are these changes not possible with the nightly builds?

Unable to play iPhone recorded 4k MOV files

Hi everyone, VLC is struggling to play an MOV file recorded by my iPhone (There's so much lag it's not viewable, audio works fine.) The video files are in 4K so I'm wondering if that's the problem. Re: Can we enable MONO audio? (2017)

My notes indicate two switches that can be added to the command line. rem --directx-audio-speaker=Mono Switch to force mono downmix Also --waveout-audio-channels=1 for wave output module Although my audio output module is set to automatic, I think for audio it uses directX. When I tested it in the ...

Can we enable MONO audio? (2017)

Hi all, VLC is such a powerful media player with many features, yet lightweight and very user friendly. However, I've been unable to find a way to playback audio with true MONO (left and right merged into one channel) audio. Why the need for this? Some users may have broken speakers/headphones or si...
