Can not get http interface working in 2.0.4

I have written an http interface library for Autohotkey that I have been using for a few years now. It allows script writers to control VLC on their local computer easily. It still works fine on my tablet which is running VLC 2.0.1 but I can not get the http functions to work on VLC version 2.0.4. F...

Re: Possible bug in 1.0.0 RC interface

Ok, in the default interface I can right click go to playback then click jump forward and it skips forward correctly. Using the remote control interface through Event Ghost when I try to jump forward it plays slower however when I tried going back to the earlier version, 9.9 I think, using the same ...

Re: Possible bug in 1.0.0 RC interface

It may be that I don't know how to use the qt4 interface but whenever I activate it VLC mostly crashes when started and I haven't been able to get it to play any video. I had to reset preferences to get it working again. If you would like to point me to qt4 instructions I'll be happy to test this fu...

Possible bug in 1.0.0 RC interface

I use the Remote Control interface through a program called Event Ghost. When I try to skip forward VLC plays slower instead. I went back to 9.9 and skip forward works correctly.

I'm using XP Pro Sp3 with all available updates.

Re: Windows VLC and Dell ExpressCard Remote

Does EventGhost see the events from your remote? They should show up in the logging window every time you press a key. If it does then you can use it to directly control VLC with the included plug in. If not then try activating some of the other input plug ins such as the HID or try anything that lo...

Re: Problem with Dual Displays

I discovered after buying a couple of nvidia cards that they will not display some types of video on the second output. I had to dig into nvidia's forums to find the information, they don't tell you up front but it just won't work. I sent them back and bought ATI cards and everything works as it sho...

Re: outputting video to second display utilities?

As was posted earlier, if you un-embed the controls from the video window you can keep the controls on one screen and the video on another. You can drag either to any window. You can also choose to open the video window full screen on which ever monitor you like. Also if the file type is associated ...

Aaaaarrrrggg.

And it gets stranger. This may be a little hard to explain but I’ll try. I’ve discovered a monitor won’t show the DVD video when it’s pictured to the right of monitor one in “Properties - Settings”. I can move the icon of either monitor two or three to above, below or to the left of the monitor one ...

It's gotten worse!

Ok, now I’m really confused. I’ve installed the new monitor and get exactly the same results but only stranger. I was using an NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 card for monitor one and the built in port that came in the computer for monitor two, Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV. Instead of getting a new card I ju...

Now that I've made it a mute point I have discovered one other thing. DVD files with stagnant menus open just fine in either display. DVD files with animated menus and sound wont open in display 2 but the icon is in the task bar and the audio plays. This has to be a monitor or video card setup probl...

Thanks but

Things look like as you describe in steps 1 and 2, and step 3 has it coming up in the correct skin but it still wont open a video window in display 2. I’m not going to mess with this any further, instead I’ve ordered another monitor identical to display 1 and a video card with two outs. Something I’...

Display 2 issue

I have read many post about having the video play on the second monitor but I seem to have a different problem. It’s probably related to my particular video setup but I’ll ask anyway. I can play a DVD and drag it to either screen and watch it with no problems. When I check open in display 2 it still...
