Thanks for the info, please find a screenshot below (it shows a dancer's moving leg). The comb-like streaks are esp. strong when someone moves, but they also appear in the background

I live in Europe, and have a few NTSC Region 1 DVDS, all can be viewed with VLC media player, but 3 of them have very disturbing comb-like streaks most of the time, esp. when a person moves, but also in the background.
