Re: subtitle positioning ignored?

But back to the original post, is there a reason why {\a6} and such isn't supported? I don't always have the opportunity to change the subtitles, like when it's on DVD or something.

Re: subtitle positioning ignored?

I've just tried {\an8} in VLC 4 nightly and it seems to work there.

Re: subtitle positioning ignored?

I've just tried with {\an8} but the result is the same, but working in Media Player Classic HC. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? This was my test subtitle this time: 1 00:00:00,038 --> 00:02:02,358 {\an8}test https://superuser.com/questions/642265/moving-subtitle-text-up-in-srt-file-form...

Re: subtitle positioning ignored?

Can you share the full subtitle?
I can reproduce it with this test subtitle:

1
00:00:00,938 --> 00:02:02,358
{\a6}test

subtitle positioning ignored?

I have a subtitle with

Code: Select all

{\a6}
tags in it, which supposed to put the text top center but it gets positioned to the regular place. Is that normal behavior? Force subtitle position is set to 0px. Media Player Classic HC shows the subtitle at the correct position.

OSD when MP3 is played

There are cases when it would be useful, like for example when I'm playing a podcast I tend to increase the play speed and it would be good to see the actual speed.
