If DirectFB fails due to permission problem in VLC, it will fail in any other app just as well. Again, your problem has nothing to do with VLC and everything to do with DirectFB. Actually would be nice to have sublist feature for network playlists. For example, how is it possible to create two separate playlists for http://www.lanet.tv/playlist.m3u and http://slynet.do.am/FreeSlyNet.m3u ?

I vote for these feature! Actually, I like "Always on Top" be applied for both playlist and video. Docked playlist is the best candidate for that.
