Re: Blu-Ray Support

The problem with the graphical presentation errors for some blu rays seem to be windows unique. I am able to play the same blu rays on fedora 27 or openSUSE 42,3 - vlc is 3.0.0 or the nightly update for vlc 4.0.0 .

I have opened an incident on https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/attachment/ticket/18036/

Re: Playing Blu-ray discs not working

You might use the software from http://dvdfab.cn/passkey-lite.htm
But I am not sure if the light version will work for all of your BluRays - I used only the full product during the trial period.

Note - you have to use vlc-3.0.0 and a proper java re to watch BluRays with Java Menus.

Re: How to Download windows version

Goto videolan.org - there you will find the most common version compiled for your OS
On https://get.videolan.org/vlc/ you will find older versions and a 64-bit version
On http://nightly.videolan.org/ you will find beta versions (2.2.5 and 3.0.0)

Re: Android TV: Play video file from smb share with VLC

Did you try to install ES File Explorer ? You are able to mount your windows files systems in android TV If you select a video file you are offered to play your video with the ES Media Player, Video and vlc. But ... If you connect an USB-device to your TV, ES tries to mount this device - this maybe ...

Re: fedora: No Blu-Ray menus, because java was not found

The "Java-Error" with BluRays still exists on fedora 25 -
no problems with openSUSE Leap 42.1 or Windows 10 and actual vlc 3.0.0-git Vetinary

Re: Blu-Ray Support

You can install http://www.dvdfab.cn/passkey-lite.htm and
vlc-3.0.0 from http://nightlies.videolan.org
At least during the testing period for the registered product you have full access to blurays.

Re: Getting latest version

There are other methods to install vlc - but I am not sure if all the latest versions of vlc will run on an outdated Windows. On http://nightlies.videolan.org/ you will find 2.2.5 and 3.0.0 in different formats - you should take either a 7z or zip compressed version. Also you find a zipped version o...

only sound for m2ts file

I tried to play an m2ts file on Android 6 (Sony Xperia M5, vlc 2.0.6) and on Android TV (Sony KD-49XD8305) in both cases I get only the sound. Hope I get the the German error message correct translated - error in hardware acceleration, software decoding is used. The same video is played on my Sony T...

Re: Blu-ray Menus

As long as you using vlc-3.0.0 from http://nightlies.videolan.org/ and Passkey Light from http://www.dvdfab.cn/passkey-lite.htm and an actual java runtime library is installed BluRays with menus should work. Be sure that you have installed all products with the same addressing mode. One remark - I d...

Re: Win 10 cant play DVDs

Just a note to "in that post, list another way to fix this problem using keys database and AACS dynamic library" key database and AACS have nothing to do with DVDs - these are only needed for BluRays. Try to use vlc from the sourceforge.net - on http://www.labdv.com/aacs/ you will find the...

Re: Choppy playback in 2.2.1 with WMV files.

Why you not using 2.2.4 or 3.0.0 ? If the official sites for 2.2.4 still have a trouble with the 64-bit version try https://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdx/files/Open%20Blu-ray/VLC%20Blu-ray/vlc-2.2.4-bluray_x64.zip/download - more details for this version also on http://www.labdv.com/aacs/ On http://...

Re: Cannot play DVD on vlc3

Seems to be a bug in the version for Linux -
operation on Windows 10 x64 is okay
also vlc-2.2.4 works on openSUSE 13.2

You should open an incident at the people who did the packaging for your distribution.

Re: VLC for WIN 10 64 bit??

On http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html you can select also the 64bit installer for vlc
but I would recommend you to download vlc via http://www.labdv.com/aacs/
or to use vlc-3.0.0 which you can download from http://nightlies.videolan.org/

Re: Just updated to Fedora 25 and VLC plays audio only

Fedora 25 is still beta. I hope you are getting the packages from the correct repositories. If you have a problem with vlc you have to report this at bugzilla.rpmfusion.org if the bug exists on a component used by vlc you have to report this at bugzilla.redhat.com vlc-3.0.0-0.8.fc25.x86_64.rpm - the...

Re: Stream .ts file in Linux

Are you able to mount the remote filesystem in openSUSE
(Examples how to do this you can find e.g. on http://www.linuxnix.com/8-ways-to-mount ... -in-linux/ )

If this works you should be able to access to your remote video like it is local.

Re: cant playback dvd tapes

Hi courtrock77,

are you trying to play a "real=physical" DVD, or do you have DVD-image on disk ?
in both cases you should start vlc selecting media --> open Media
in case of a physical DVD open your optical drive
in case of an DVD-image open the path to VIDEO_TS

Re: Converting TS to MP4 problem. How to record MKV video to MKV or MP4?

Before it takes a long time to find a direct solution -
vlc should be able to convert a .ts file to .mp4

Start vlc, then CTRL+R - this will open a dialog to convert a video
