I tried the cddb-server=freedb.freedb.org (I think that's what you wanted me to do) and it helped the load time considerably but there is still a delay and still no displayed track data from commercial audio CD's.

I'm wondering if this is an issue (or incompatibility) with the latest Windows feature update 1903 as it only became a problem after that upgrade. Latest VLC ver 2.2.4 and/or latest Firefox ver 47.0 (both updated a couple of days ago) are apparently prohibiting Soundcloud from playing in Firefox. One must disable the VLC plugin in Firefox to utilize Soundcloud with Firefox. Not sure if the problem is with VLC or Firefox. Soundcloud works fine ...
