After updating MacOSX 10.11.5 (El Capitan), I can not get the file list at the beginning of SMB connection. I have also MacOS-X 10.11.4 and it's SMB connection seems to good. I think new Apple's security update might have change in SMB protocol and may not work good in VLC for iOS 277.2. I like VLC ...
