there must be software out there to do what I want, thanks to all that took the time to look at my question

first off I love the program and thanks to everyone who is part of it!! I use to use KMPlayer and with that I could capture/edit any video. what I mean I could take a section out of the video file, encode it and play it. I am look for something simple to do the same thing... thanks for any suggestions
