Hi, Can anyone reccomend the best format to convert nmy DVD's for playback via VLC on the AppleTV. My files are stored on a NAS. I currently have my movies backed up as ISO's but now need a file format that will be compatible with VLC on the AppleTV and be the best quality. I just need the movie but...

What I think I will do is keep my ISO's as backups and then have a drive with just my films (dont really need the extras and bonus features) in a playable format.

I read that VLC on AppleTV will not play ISO movie files of all my DVD's.

These DVD ISO's are on a NAS drive and I want to open and play them in VLC.

Am I right they won't play becuase of the license?
