On Android phone for a child, I would like to be able lock the aspect ratio to 16x9 for cartoons, even if it is a little distorted.

Locking screen aspect with Android phone

Is there any way to set VLC to start videos with a specificed aspect ratio? For example, always start with "Fit Horizontal" ?
