yesterday I upgrade my opensuse 11.1 x64 kde 4.1 to kde 4.3 . I did a fresh install . then I install vlc beta from repository .

when I try to play .mkv file , the movie play so slow that you can see it moving frame by frame .
I don't have such issue on kde 4.1

after install vlc 0.8.6h through repository . I found that vlc can't play mkv file . I try play avi without any problem . am I missing something ?

I did ,still the same . I don't have problem playing others like mp4,mkv,ogm, xvid,h264 at 640x480 . so I guess problem is with the codec. I wonder if the compatible with divx starting to break

i suspect that also but with more newer video getting same codec & fps ,i start worry. I wonder anyone get same effect playing divx6 video.

by the way , why is vlc detect it as dx50 not dx6 ?

yup, i tried mpc with latest Combined Community Codec Pack .

using vlc even though with little problem that i mention, the video still watchable and no unsync between video & sound . i wonder if this cause by codec starting incompatible

recently I encounter few video files that I play get of alot warning late picture even though the video is avi , size 160mb , resolution 640x480 (codec show on vlc DX50). I check my cpu usage only show 20% . the video suppose to be Divx640 , 120fps) . anyway to solve this issue?

I keep getting weird problem whenever playing video with encode :h264 resolution 1024x576 or higher . the video always pause and then skip from time to time . but if the video encode in divx or xvid , I don't see such issue. is there a way to be able to play smooth ?
