Wow. Now it is near the end of June and still no resolution. Anyone know another app for playing files off of a server? VLC made my Apple TV my goto device but not any more.

I have a lot of files in a directory. When I scroll very fast VLC appears to enter a fast scroll mode. Dots appear on the right side of the screen with a light white color around one. OK so far. On a Fire TV I see my network and can select the NAS box. However, the directory shows as empty. IN other words I get this far: Local Network --> A-Z listing (select P) ---> 3 different NAS boxes (select one) --> message says "Directory is Empty" This should look like: Local Network --> A-...
