If they dont, see if they play MP3's atleast...

Plays nothing not even mp3 :s this is getting realy strange :/ .

It can also end up looking like this when i try to rightclick the dvd player and start the movie that way.

I just wrote this a few moments ago for another user, but really the problem can range from not working right to not working at all. You might want to take a look.

Try them again had to change the jpg to JPG -.- .

This is how it looks when i start Vlc

It stays like the second picture all the time had it on for 2 hours straight just to see if it can help but nothing happens.

What happens if you try to play the DVD (menu) or use DVD simple from within VLC?

Are you having problems with other file types?

I can't play anything gimme a sec and i will show you how it looks like when it happens (if that might help) .

Try erasing the preferences directory. C:\Documents and Settings\Owner (this is you)\Application Data\VLC Erase VLC, Application Data is a hidden directory so you will need to make it visible.

can you provide more informations ? like your operating system, your vlc version, describing exactly what you are doing.. we can't help you without details Operating system = Windows XP Version = Latest When i open a file it won't play it no screen pops up it just stay totaly dead nothing happens a...

When i open a video file or a dvd cd it refuses to play it all this happend after VLC crashed from trying to open a dvd cd and i wonder if you got any thoughts of what it can be.
