VLC seems to use DirectX as default output module. The problem doesn't seem to arise when I select the "waveout extension output" instead. So the culprit is probably in the DirectX output module or maybe even in DirectSound itself, who knows...
Good idea! I just tried 0.9.2 Grishenko (Woo! Cool new GUI!), alas with the same results. I'm not sure but I think it started somewhere with the latest versions of 0.8.5 but unfortunately I didn't use VLC so much for music at that time and I thought that might be a problem on my side too, so I didn'...
Hi, I think I found a funny but serious glitch: Audio file playback is changing the playrate slightly upwards at times. Being a musician, I'm probably a bit more sensitive to variations in pitch and wondered why VLC sounds sometimes like a broken record player. Now I had this phenomenon again on the...

It will stop playback like the other versions if you touch the slider. VLC seems to have real problems w...
The problem still persists, but I create the playlists by hand (dir /b > playlist.m3u) now. Another problem is with *.FLV files and similar to other posts in this forums: No navigation possible and VLC plays them or not. It plays them once fully, the second time it stops playback at a random positio...
Hi all, I run VLC 0.8.5 on a quite old machine (that's were VLC excels most) and appreciate it's low CPU usage. But creating a playlist (especially by adding a whole folder) is virtually impossible: I.e. I added one folder with 120 video files an hour ago and it's still working on it! I guess it sho...
