I downloaded directly from your site for openSuse13.2 and it installed. Sounds like a bug, but who knows. At least I know now that MP4 is supported.

Mine doesn't play MP4 either. I only get sound but no video. No one has an answer to correcting this problem yet.

I have VLC player 2.2.1 in openSuse13.2 KDE and when I try to watch a MP4 video I see no video and only have sound. I get this error message. Codec not supported:
VLC could not decode the format "h264" (H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10)) . How to make it work?
