It turns out it is working.

Very, very slowly.

It appears to load every directory in the entire server rather than just the directory I was attempting to access.

I am having the same problem. Setup: Server is Windows 7 running TVersity 2.6. This is known working since the PS3 can access it just fine. The client is VLC 2.2.1.
