That correct. The reason is that there are still 2 major regressions on the new one.
So users are switching from the new 1.4.1 version to the 0.9 Beta? Really?
I have no idea why they would do so.

Yes that's exactly the problem. I had it too.
I was always using 0.9 Beta and a bit I wondered why there are no updates. So a few days ago I looked at the VLC website where it is states that v 1.4 is the newest.

I've also only discovered this a few days ago. The problem is that there are two versions of VLC on Google Play.
