While it's technically possible, browsing a file system would be an "infinite" navigation. Everything that can make the user distracted is strongly would break the design principles for Android Auto. See https://developers.google.com/cars/design/design-foundations/interaction-principles T...
On Android Auto it doesn't give you the option to play from a directory. On the normal app I go to the browse tab and I saved to Favorites the directory I want to play. But I don't see the option to browse the folder at all in Android Auto. Can you add this please?
So this has been ongoing for 7 years. Seriously how hard is it to implement it? All Ive been hearing from the developers are excuses, excuses, excuses. I dont see how other players were able to have it. This is just pure laziness.
I have subtitles placed in another directory called "Subs" but VLC won't detect them. I checked the preferences and the autodetection paths seem to be correct: .\subtitles, .\subs The fuzziness is set to 1. Despite that it won't find any subtitles.
Seriously, whoever's idea it was to change the layout should be fired/layed off immediatly. This interface is just plain awful and makes things more confusing. Why not just keep the old classic layout where it was simpler? I hate all the new metro stuff. Please change the UI back to pre-3.0 I do not...
I know this is probably another topic but that interface in VLC 4 is just plain awful. Why not just keep the old classic design which is simpler? I hate all the new metro stuff. Please change the UI back to pre-3.0
VLC developers are not entitled to do anything, nor do they care if you leave. This is a free program made by a non-profit. Either contribute code to the project or don't say anything. They are working on it. Literally how hard is it to implement a dark mode function? They've been saying the same t...
Why does the iOS version have the Dropbox integration but the Android app does not? Please add it for Android too , and also being able to select certain folders.
Please add a Dropbox integration for the Android app. I have all my music stored on Dropbox and use VLC as the primary music player on my phone. I would also like a feature to download all songs for offline play and be able to sync with changes from Dropbox.
Yes, but not for every assistant. It does not work for Bixby. If I want to say something like "Hi Bixby , play Queen" then VLC should open up playing their songs on shuffle. Or I can say "play Bohemian Rhapsody " then VLC should already know it's from Queen and play that song only.
Yeah I got the same response from Roku: DIAL is the default method developers use for casting on Roku. You can send an ECP command from a third-party app to a Roku device, to then deep link into a channel to play content. We don't have documented information on this process, but you can certainly re...
I'm not sure what that is or how I can find it. I'm guessing it would be Miracast. But there are 2 options you could try with casting, either with Miracast or over the internet if the person has a Roku account.
