I stream videos from a local NAS over ftp (with username and password). The new update has broken that too. I can download a video (sometimes... this often provokes a crash as well mid-way through the download) and then play it ok, so it's not the video. But seems VLC is no longer capable of streami...

Great news! Thanks. Found it strange that it had been working fine. It wasn't an update that caused this problem though?
