I am using Mate, my old linux install is also on Mate. VLC is all dark on that install. It should just work, I have the same theme. How do I enable dark mode across to app, wher all windows & menus are black?

No idea what happened, there was, then wasn't a sec later. Did nothing to setting, audio is still on automatic , everything is uo ti date, uninstalled/reinstalled no fix.

VLC (Solus linux) menu bar doesn't seem to work right, the options comes up when I click something, but it is just solid black? I can't see what it says

It is drag & drop interface, so I drag then drop onto the toolbar in the customize window, but nothing changes on the VLC interface???
