I sent this message with the sample: The arabic subtitles is not working on smart phones' VLC. The font is included inside the mkv and it's working on Windows, mxplayer (android) and kudi (iOS+Android). Hello, thank you for your efforts 
In iOS 8.3
the arabic softsub subtitle (*.ass) in mkv will be like
on vlc in windows and Linux the same video work fine with the subtitle
and in iOS kodi, it works fine.
