VLC --file-logging always spawns command window

VLC --file-logging always spawns command window as well as writing to the vlc-debug.txt log file.

Is there a way when using --file-logging to stop any DOS command window appearing,

I've tried -I dummy --dummy-quiet, still no joy.

VLC is 0.86c

Thanks in advance

DVD Play - No Subtitles

Hello all, Using VLC 0.86c on WinXP, I have usually no problem with selecting subtitles and them working fine on most DVD's. Some DVD's, especially Hong Kong Legends Series, such as Police Story II, starring Jackie Chan, have two subtitle tracks, which appear in the subtitle list. But whatever I sel...

MENCODER/FFMPEG

They just output to the same console window that you started the exe from (same as doing a DIR or an LS from a shell prompt). And they simply report back.. The time encoded, position, frames per second etc. sample from mencoder 1 duplicate frame(s)! Pos: 0.8s 22f ( 0%) 0.00fps Trem: 2min 4mb A-V:0.0...

I still can't get VLanControl working in VB.NET 2005

Can anyone post some good example code (not pseudo). of using the Control.

I've already tried the authors suggestion of making the parent of the control, the form. No joy, just lots of exception messages.

Keep up the good work.

Fingers crossed for some VB.NET 2005 example.

Cheers

Stop and Start Time using libVLC.dll

Hi All, I've wrapped up libvlc.dll using some of the example C# wrappers and everything in general is working fine. I'm primarily using the class to #sout DVD's to other formats, but I can't see a way of using -stop-time which is a command line argument. Any ideas.. ? SetVariable ? Thanks in advance N
