I can't get the nightly repository to show up in Synaptic. I don't suppose it's because I'm using a 64 bit version of Ubuntu is it? I'm pretty sure I did everything right to set it up, and it shows up in the repositories list and the key shows up in the key list, but I still only see 0.8.4 on Synapt...

I'm coming across a similar problem, mainly whenever I try to play Matroska files in Dapper Drake. I've already hand-compiled VLC to assure that -enable-mkv was set, and it still segfaults.
