You can use https://mediaarea.net/fr/MediaInfo/Download/Mac_OS to get full information, it's free, open-source and clean.

The whole user interface will change in the next major release of VLC (VLC 4.0). I don't think that tabbed view is planned, though.

I think it's an issue of relative vs absolute path.

Logs could help: Open VLC, press Ctrl-M, increase verbosity to 2, reproduce the 2 working and non-working steps and copy and paste the logs here.

We are not responsible for external skins2.

YOu could contact the skins2 author or maybe change the skins directly.

Run VLC, press Ctrl-E, select "Video Effects" / "Geometry" and tick interactive zoom.

If it does not work, you may have to disable video codec acceleration (In preferences, "Input / Codec").

If you have adb, you could try "adb uninstall org.videolan.vlc.debug".

Anyway, the VLC debug app should be visible in the Android Settings/Applications (be sure to not filter out and see all applications).

This is nice feature but it requires a lot of code and even VLC Core modifications. This is not our priority right now.

Fortunately, VLC is open-source and will look forward to external contributions brining this feature.

Is the interface responsive when it happens ? Can you play/pause/seek via the widgets ?

Could you reproduce the issue with logs ?

Also, you don't need a libvlc_instance_t to create a media but you do need one to trigger the parsing.

According to logs, VLC reaches END of STREAM. Could you try to reproduce with another player with the same PC ?

As of today, there is no LibVLC API for sout, so you will need to create a libvlc instance with the sout command line in argv.
