You could add a cover image into your audio file (possible with mp3, ogg, m4a, flac...)

Could you share VLC logs via loggcat ? Maybe only the DTS part is played (and not the HD extension)

This is really weird.

VLC can't modify the sound when using pass-through.

Are you sure the exact same track is played with VLC and Kodi ? Both with pass-through ? (Sometimes, there are compatibility track with a lower codec)

OpenSles has the same issue and is worse than audiotrack.

You could try to force software decoding : "vlc --avcodec-hw none" or you could try to use your intel GPU (if any, and if on laptop).

VLC is not supported by vsxu: https://github.com/vovoid/vsxu/issues/188

You could try an older version of vsxu.

There is no way to remove this section. If you don't click on it, nothing will be downloaded.

I don't think multi-threading or GPU encoding is implemented on all encoder plugins used by VLC.

It's already implemented in ffmpeg and VLC. Maybe the ffmpeg/VLC version is too old. What OS/VLC are you using ?

Could you send us log when you have a color issue and colors are OK (with the cam) ?

Run VLC, press ctrl-M, increase verbosity to 2, run the cam, copy-paste the logs here.

VLC has all its codec installed internally, but if you want surround via HDMI, VLC should not use its own codecs, but pass directly the codec via HDMI.

This can only be done if this is specially enabled on the Windows side.

It should be automatic. Make sure that codecs (ac3, dts and co) are enabled in Windows (you need to configure the audio output the first time).

Full Media Library support, even with network streams/folders will be available on VLC 4.0. You can try it with a nightly https://nightlies.videolan.org/ but there might be issues with video / UI integration.
