Just to reiterate: The problem is not with any equipment i have - I'm requesting the info on how to gather an NTSC format webstream, and encapsulate it into PAL to then send out.

Someone must know if this is possible?

127.0.0.1 is your localhost. You can type http://localhost:8080 that is your PC You should be typing the network IP address of your PC and then the port. On my set top box, i type 192.168.1.66:1234 (my port) and whatever Videolan is sending out, my set-top box recieves. HTH! P.S did you remember to ...

It seems my set-top box is actually playing the audio first in PAL format (considering there are no region-standards for playback speeds) and then playing the video at NTSC speeds. The audio then has to slow down and wait for the video to catch up; thus the garbled audio every 15 seconds or so. Can ...

Are you clicking "play locally" in the "stream to" options, or are you using the wizard? If that doesn't work, try having a fiddle with the in the options in the video output section. As far as i am aware, directx video overlay does not alow two instances of the same video to be ...
