Re: VLC allways opening on the wrong screen

Just a thought, it may be something in Windows, or the Nvidia Control Panel.

Re: Blu-ray Playback Too Big

..... If that sill doesn't work, then try : Tools/Preferences(Advanced)/Video, scroll down to window properties and set the video size to equal or smaller than your screen resolution.

Re: Cannot reduce window height

By default, VLC will set the playback window to your video size. If your screen resolution is lower than the video resolution, the interface will be larger than your screen. First try : Tools/Preferences (Simple)/Interface, UNcheck "Reset Interface to Video Size". If that sill doesn't work...

Re: New to VLC - I need help Please

You do like to do things the hard way..... ok, back to that link, and follow the instructions. Basically, put the youtube url as your network stream; then copy the codec info, and paste that into your browser. That will send you to the ORIGINAL youtube video file, not a compressed version. While it ...

Re: New to VLC - I need help Please

I thought you were trying to download from youtube. Capture device is different, since I don't have your device, or the file with which you are working, I cannot duplicate the issue. For Youtube, what I meant was play the file from your browser, right click on THAT video, and save as. It is using vl...

Re: Unable to resize window

That sounds like a Windows problem, not vlc. I have had similar problems on PCs with lower screen resolution as well. It is even more difficult when using mouse pads. The only solution I have found in those cases is to double click the top bar to have the window take up full screen, then set up my a...

Re: VLC wont display subtitles

Is this a Disc? or a video file? If it is a video file, #1) make sure you have the srt file, and #2) make sure you are pointing vlc to the correct srt file. Start video, right click inside video window, "Open file". Navigate to the desired srt file. If this is a Disc, than I am sorry, anot...

Default playlist location

How do I change the default location of my stored playlists? Every time I save a list, I need to navigate the side pane to my desired location (my desktop). The current "default" location is some video folder in my downloads folder. Please, can someone point me in the right direction?
