I don't like Windows 10 at all. Lots of my programs cannot be compatible with it. Something like DVDAid, it needs to reinstall and then can be used on windows 10 again. Quite complicated.

H.265/HEVC is a video codec with high quality, not sure if all device can support it with fluent playback. Transcode H.265 to H.264 MP4, and it is a more common video type for almost all portable device.

All my DVD have been ripped to MKV (H.264) with all the audio tracks enbedded. MKV is able to include subtitles so it works like playing a real DVD.

Have you checked audio settings?
On “Simple Preferences” interface, click “Audio” tab on the left side bar to navigate to “Audio Settings.” Make sure the “Enable audio” box is checked and then choose “Automatic” at “Output” dropdown list.

I am not such guys who obsessed with kinds of technical stuffs have to take some time look into this.
