Hi, if you zoom on your screenshot, you will notice that Word does no antialiasing at all, so VLC is better ;) Indeed the kerning seems wrong, but skins2 relies on libfreetype2 to render the text, so either I don't use it correctly (I don't see where...), or there is a bug in libfreetype, at least ...

I was also wondering whether there is some way to link to system fonts instead of including them in the skin itself (since the fonts make up 90% or more of the filesize of this skin)?

I'd love this feature too (i think it's relevent to all platforms), particularly since I don't think "Recent Files" is accessable from the skins2 interface.

Also, /NCRC skips the CRC check stage and /D=dir specifies the install directory.
