Re: VLC is not opening on Samsung Galaxy S2

Now Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is marked incompatible with 2.0.3 which I find very disappointing considering that it was running perfectly fine in my tablet. I uninstalled VLC in order to find out if I could reproduce starting problem others are seeing, but now I cannot even reinstall it thanks to blackl...

Re: VLC 2.0.0 on Android Tablet?

I have excatly same tablet model and for me it starts normally. When I updated to 2.0.0 though I noticed that for some reason update broke starting shortcut on mainscreen and I had to copy it from apps folder before it worked

VLC 2.0.1 cannot play some files from SMB share

I have interesting problem with VLC 2.0.1 Android version. For some reason it refuses to play some files from SMB share. Same files play normally if I try Windows version of VLC, so problem is version specific. Also if I copy those files to my Galaxy Tab S2 internal storage I can play them normally ...

Re: OGM plays like slideshow

Sorry for major delay. I noticed that there was another thread about same thing and there you suggested to test 3.0.0, so I assumed that problem was fixed in it. Now I finally tested that and as it turned out to be 3.0.0 has the very same problem with OGM files as 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 So here is one file...

OGM plays like slideshow

For some reason latest (2.2.1) VLC seems to play all ogm files almost as if it was a slideshow. Playback is very jerky although sounds are normal. Previous versions seem to play same files with no problems.

Other filestypes work as expected as far as I can tell.

Re: MKV files crash VLC 2.2.0 (files in local HDD)

I think that flac files crash it. That mkv file had flac sounds. I found crash dump VLC made and sure enough all flac files I have tested crash VLC 2.2.0 for me. So at a moment it seems that it is not mkv after all, but flac. I don't think so because, as I said, your file is playing fine on my comp...

Re: MKV files crash VLC 2.2.0 (files in local HDD)

That is very interesting if you ask me, because for me 2.1.5 always plays it and 2.2.0 always crashes with it. I even uninstalled 2.1.5, cleaned everything related to VLC and then installed 2.2.0. After that I started VLC and dropped file on it. As soon as it had managed to build font cache it crash...

MKV files crash VLC 2.2.0 (files in local HDD)

I have large number of mkv files which immediately crash VLC 2.2.0 (and 2.2.1 nightly too). All of them played normally with previous version of VLC.

Files are located in local HDD, so I do not think it is related to LAN crash which other persons seem to be complaining about.

VLC for WinRT problem

I just tested new VLC for WinRT version 0.1.1 (with Windows 8.1 Pro). Now seeking seems to be working, but problem that still exists for me is that pretty much no subtitles for work. I have tested large amount of mkv files and working subtiles are more like an exception than normal. You can see and ...
