Re: No Midi Support with VLC 2.1.1 on Mavericks‎

I probably should mention this since you all so desperately want FluidSynth MIDI support in your copies of VLC. The nightly builds of both the 2.2.0 and 3.0.0 series do have the FluidSynth codec restored. I happily use the latest 3.0.0 series nightly and have experienced little or no issues dependin...

Re: VLC stuck in Japanese despite everything set to English

Apologies, I must've misread. However, this causes concern. There is no logical reason for this other than what was already mentioned. All I can think of in addition is deleting all of the foreign language resources from VLC. It doesn't seem to complain when they are missing (at least prior versions...

Re: VLC stuck in Japanese despite everything set to English

One of the following may be the cause: 1. Corrupt preference files. Delete the folder org.videolan.vlc and the file org.videolan.vlc.plist from ~/Library/Preferences/ 2. Corrupt application cache. Delete the folder org.videolan.vlc from ~/Library/Caches/ 3. Corrupt copy of VLC. Download a fresh copy...

Just tried today's 3.x series nightly, whatever the issue was it appears to have been fixed.

Re: VLCV 2.1.3 Rincewind (Intel 64bit)

I have read your message, and it seems that you have to be clearer in conveying your problems. You honestly came off as a newbie in how you wrote out your initial post. As for the 'issue' you are having, I maintain that it is not an issue at all. I'm not sure what you are expecting, but VLC has been...

Re: VLCV 2.1.3 Rincewind (Intel 64bit)

It is not odd behaviour, it is normal behaviour for every application on Mac OS X. No application on any OS will 'show the desktop' as it appears as part of an 'open' operation. It sounds to me as though you've never used a Macintosh computer before. The icons for your drives on the desktop are alon...

Audio issue in 3.x series nightlies

Apologies if this is not the appropriate place for this, but I don't know where else to go. I have been using VLC for a long time, and have preferred using the nightly builds in order to be as up to date as possible. However, I believe I may have encountered an audio issue in the 3.x series nightly ...
