Of course, it's my phone's default language. The VLC interface shows Hebrew menus with no problem. It's just the subtitles that are messed up.

Yes I have. As I said, there are two Hebrew encodings in VLC for Android, and I've tried them both with the same results. These subs work fine in VLC for Windows, I should add. My default encoding there is set to Hebrew ISO 8859-8, which is the standard and also exists in the Android version, but no...

Hi, Just like the beta version - v2.1 has a problem with the Hebrew encodings for subtitles (both of them). Instead of Hebrew characters, there are Xs inside upright rectangles (I don't know what that symbol means, try it and see) only punctuation symbols appear normally. I use LG G3 (D855), Android...

I'm using release 0.9.9, looks like both Hebrew encodings make the Hebrew characters appear as empty spaces. Only Latin characters and special characters appear properly.
